CAREER SUMMARY
I am administrative specialist with more than 15 years` experience in program development and expansion, as well as program evaluation. My professional experience has been focused in the non-profit sector; I was the Executive Director of a 501(c)(3) for five years and a program director for ten years. My accounting experience includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entry and general ledger, payroll, cash budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation (private, State, and Federal audits). I have successfully completed graduate level coursework in accounting and finance. I also have extensive experience with grant writing and oversight of grant funded projects.
Human resource experience includes hiring and supervision of as many as 30 employees, as well as managing employee benefits. I most often utilize a database to manage detailed information (using ACCESS and Excel); and I have experience with statistical software for the purpose of analyzing evaluation data. My undergraduate degree included classes in computer programming and I am able to learn new software applications in a relatively short amount of time. I am proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
I have excellent oral and written communication skills. I am comfortable presenting to large groups or meeting with clients and staff individually to provide personalized service. I have experience working with executive committees and boards; as a staff liaison and administrator I facilitated meetings, prepared agendas and presentations, and distributed minutes. I currently serve on the board of directors for a small non-profit agency and participate in the personnel and finance committees.
