Work History:
2009-2012: I served as an employee of the Klamath Tribes as the Johnson-O`Malley Coordinator in the Education & Employment Department. My duties focused around motivating and inspiring youth to explore post-secondary educational and employment opportunities. Other duties included the coordination and supervision of an afterschool tutorial program and the supervision of two Educational Assistants. This position`s duties also included the managing and distributing of annual budgets to students while managing their confidential student case files. I assisted in coordinating various events to promote higher education and served as a student advocate and mediator for those students eligible for my services.
1999-2009: Employed by the Klamath County School District as a high school boys basketball coach and substitute teacher. During this time, I coached, inspired and motivated several different boy`s basketball teams from the Freshman team to the Varsity along with substituting for the district in various secondary positions.
2000-2007: Employed by the Department of Human Services/ Child Welfare Division as a Protective Service Worker. My job duties were to investigate allegations of child abuse and/or child neglect while collaborating with local law enforcement and other supportive agencies to determine the well-being and future of these children. This position required excellent oral and written communication skills to accurately report the results of those investigations to all parties involved.
1999-2000: Worked as a Youth Alcohol and Drug Program counselor for Klamath Tribal Health. My duties during this time were to manage confidential case files while developing case plans for tribal youth with substance abuse issues.
