My first responsibilities were to work with the President/Owner of the company and the VP of manufacturing on re-locating the business from a 30,000 square foot building to a brand new 180,000 square foot facility. I was required to design and create layout drawings for the location of each piece of existing equipment and future equipment, work with the electrical contractors on supplying the correct power drops for each area, and oversee the installation and start up of each piece of equipment.
After a successful transition into the new building, I was totally responsible for the installation, start up, programming, operation, and maintenance of a new $600,000.00 Elumatec 5-axis CNC profile machining center, which eventually ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In February of 2011, a second Elumatec 5-axis machine was installed. Over the past 5 years, I trained two other associates on how to write programs as well.
Listed below are some of my other duties that I was involved in.
* -Invent-, design and create an automated patina line that would run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and process steel panels for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York. -It`s never been done before and it`s the only one like it in the USA.-
* Oversee the purchase, installation, and start up of all equipment for the patina line
* Assist in the programming and operation of a $250,000.00 (5) axis Water Jet machine
* Responsible for all equipment and building maintenance
* Assisted in developing a 3-D -digital- programming system for the 5 axis CNC machine

Tooling Development Engineer
I was responsible for designing all of the punch press and set press tooling for a $2,000,000.00 line that was scheduled to start up on March 3, 2003. In addition to these duties, I designed several pieces of equipment for use throughout the facility which included an extrusion die to extrude a 12- wide plastic composite profile which was to be used on the inside of the trailers as a scuff plate.
All of my designs were created in 3-D using Mechanical Desktop CAD software.
