Buyer - Northern Labs June 2011 - Present

Responsible for $10M covering approximately 10 different commodities, including: plastics, block heaters, paints/chemicals, molded/industrial hoses, fans, fan guards (ABS/fiberglass), fuel lines, pumps, filters, adapters/connectors, exhaust tubes, and gaskets/o rings.

* Responsible for obtaining reliable, high quality sources for all purchased components

* Initiated and developed standard operating procedures that resulted in an improved tracking of material availability and costs

* Implemented visual inventory control on the shop floor, which eliminated lost parts, work stoppages, and inventory cost discrepancies

* Developed and refined an operational database to track materials in order to support accounting functions, with reconciled a $90K inventory discrepancy

* Collaborated with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and outside suppliers to bring new specifications to fruition to meet customer needs

* Decreased material costs by getting alternate sources of supply or negotiating with suppliers, which resulted in savings of over 8% from the standard cost for decontamination units

* Worked with the operations team to outfit units with PEX tubing versus copper tubing which resulted in a 30% savings in labor costs on each unit

Planner Scheduler III - Kohler PA Purchasing and Kohler Global Faucets October 1992 to May 2001

* Coordinated the needs of manufacturing while promoting improved relationships with domestic & international suppliers, which help to reduce stock outs and helped achieve the daily build schedule

* Initiated the SAP Kanban/visual pull scheduling which resulted in 30% reduction in inventory levels without any adverse effect on customer service

* Set up the shipping procedures for international suppliers that created a formal system so all parties (planning, purchasing, traffic, and the supplier) had the documentation necessary to make their jobs more efficient
