Responsibilities include selling a gift and home accessory line to independent gift stores. Successfully cold- called and established an account base of two hundred plus accounts. Duties include handling customer service issues, returns, and some credit collection. The territory is on a six to ten week call cycle with new product lines featured in catalog form. Leads are generated by the internet, newspaper, and cold-calling on new accounts. The line provides samples for sales presentations. The territory includes lots of day travel with some overnights as well as two trips to the Dallas gift market in January and June of each year. Awards at the national sales meeting in New York have included 100% of goal attained and the $75,000 shipping club award. 93.3 KAJZ (K-JAZZ) and News Radio 590 KLBJ-AM, Austin, Texas - 1996 to 1999
Responsibilities included running the promotions departments of two radio stations. Designed bumper stickers, station flyers, newsletters, media kits, and wrote all on-air promotional liners. Managed a staff of three part-time assistants. Coordinated all monthly calendars and remote staffing needs.
* 93.3 KAJZ/News and Radio 590 KLBJ-AM: Created the first 93.3 K-JAZZ Saint Patrick`s Day Street Festival in downtown Austin which attracted over 6000 people and garnered news coverage on both Fox 7 and KEYE 42. Worked with the Celis Brewery on the first Great Tastes of Austin event which was attended by 2000 people. Maintained client relationships and helped bring in additional revenue from such corporate accounts as Budweiser, Coors, Nair, 7-Up and Sun and Ski Suntan products. Worked with several local charities on huge outdoor events such as the Earth Day Celebration in Waterloo Park, and the Wildflower Days at the Ladybird Johnson Center.

Sony Music (formerly CBS Records), Dallas and Austin, Texas - 1987 to 1995
Started the progressive music marketing department for the Dallas branch. Promoted from Account Service Representative in the Austin/San Antonio area. Responsibilities included marketing bands on both Columbia and Epic rosters to more than 500 independently owned retailers in an eleven state branch. This included customizing local market plans and servicing these accounts with sales information, promotional play copies, tour support materials, as well as preparing print and radio advertising.
