Operation & Coal-yard Shift Supervisor

Managed shift operation at Hutsonville Power Station. Coordinated equipment and staff operations to maximize cost-effectiveness and productivity, monitoring coal tonnage. Communicated effectively with employees on production. Monitored boiler chemistry and added chemicals as required, sulfur injection system, precip power levels, and unit voltage and vars Maintained shift and event logs. Established and maintained compliance with plant procedures and OSHA requirements. Ensured complete safety, to include conducting regular safety briefing and inspecting site for fire hazards. Tagged-out equipment for repair. Trained new employees on computer and equipment operation. Knowledge of Westinghouse WDPF Westation computer control systems, help rewrite operating procedures.
