I am seeking a position where I am able to use my existing talent from former jobs in the service industry and greater them into a new work environment where I can gain life lessons and knowledge from an employer who wants to teach and grow as a team with me. I would like to awake in the morning with the early birds and arrive at my job with the sun and a cup of caffeine with a smile on my face ready to work. I follow and lead direction very well; work great alone and with other co-workers, and I always keep a positive attitude. I'm delighted being a busy bee, new projects make me glee, and as always I aim to please.

Work Background

Ever since I can remember I have been working in the eye of the public; parents 1st restaurant at 6 yrs., running the kitchen with my two best friends at a steak joint in town at 16 yrs., arranged & delivered flowers (oh the peoples faces lit up). When I moved out of the nest and onto my own path at 19 yrs. I began pourin' brews and grillin' burgers at Twin Falls County Municipal Golf Course, which lead me to find the new Anchor Bistro & Bar opening in Twin Falls where I began to waitress & bartend for the next year and a half. I loved this job; I gained strength, speed, patience, leadership(training new co-workers and monitoring the floor), motivation, & determination by the goals that I was expected to reach by my employers and myself. My communication and entertaining skills greatly improved all while I was hitting top sales on the floor. I then ventured off to Mackinac Island, MI for the summer of 2011 after my 21st birthday. There I worked as a waitress at Horn's Gaslight Bar, one of the busiest places on the island (a tourist location/only open 6 months). After the season ended I moved to Boise and began bartending at local bars such as The Symposion and Jim's Alibi. Being the only person on duty during your shift (9 hours) at these places meant all responsibility and safety was on you; from opening and closing the till and doors, breaking up fights, checking I.D's, pouring/serving drinks, entertaining, and always being aware that all persons and premises were being maintained responsibly.

Education

I have attended College of Southern Idaho and Boise State University between the years of 2009-2012 where I pursued writing (I truly do have some interesting stuff) and communication. My time spent in college was faced with the obstacles that every student faces; hours of homework, making deadlines, facing the either-or decisions, and spending the insane dollars on textbooks and online access codes. In those years I learned a thing or two as well; efficient planning and organizing skills, the ability to juggle demands, attention to detail, and knowledge with PC and Mac computers. I have decided to pull out of the game as of right now to collect & pay off the student loans I have already received.

Don't let my innocent appearance fool you, when the time comes I can be one tough cookie. Working in a smoke-filled dive bar, jersey-filled sports bar, and a sweat-filled nightclub it didn't take long for me to learn how to break up a brawl or scrub vomit from the carpet. There isn't a snowstorm, test, or cold that could keep me away from slinging drinks to my thirsty patrons. The bigger the group the more chances I have to show off my bar, my drinks, and myself. I love working with a team and becoming a part of the family! My contagious positivity builds great relationships with co-workers, keeps regulars coming back, and attracts new faces! I am eager to learn and grow within a company that has advancement for thirsty determined individuals. My arrival date to the Big Island is March 5, 2013
