* The Executive Director is the CEO of the Authority and coordinates all RBA transit and mission activities within the service territory of Lake and Porter Counties. The RBA is a 21 member board overseeing local, state, federal and other grant dollars from the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) to operate bus transit services in Lake County and provide capital match expenditures in both counties. The RBA had four full time and six part-time employees and contracted most services through competitive bidding processes to private service providers for commuter bus, fixed route and complementary paratransit services. Current operating and capital expenditures budget for 2012 is 5.7 million. Past budgets ranged between 1 and 9 million dollars depending on the number of project objectives being funded.
