Tapped for newly created role; charged with centralizing and standardizing new store operations throughout the U.S. for an $800MM+ retail store operation. Built and grew department to a staff of 16 overseeing a $5.76MM operating budget. Given additional oversight and responsibility based on proven ability to produce immediate results; took over national exterior sign program, property management, telecom operations and accounting, and more.
PROVEN LEADERSHIP & EXECUTION IN STORE OPENING OPERATIONS:
Led the charge in centralizing and standardizing operations across the U.S. Recruited, developed and led a team of 4- 10 specialists to deliver 973 store openings, relocations and expansions on-time. Played an integral role in supporting company`s explosive growth from 325 to 850+ stores in 10 years.
- Never missed a store opening. Successfully opened 85 stores across the U.S. within the first year.
- Delivered a $1.44MM cost savings in the first year. Slashed pre-opening expense 50% (from $39K to $21K). Established a new mode of operations immediately. Employed a highly trained team of Field Specialists to redefine the fixture set process and standardize the inside wiring process.
- Realized a $20 - 25MM cost savings over a 10-year period. Judiciously maintained a $21-25K cost-per-opening average over the years delivering a monumental, cumulative cost savings to the company.

Appointed to take over National Exterior Sign Program in 2002. Took over and standardized the function to ensure consistent, cost-effective and timely support for 500+ stores.
- Replaced ad hoc operations involving 40-50 disparate sign companies across the country with one centralized vendor that could consistently meet an aggressive 30-day turnaround.
- Achieved perfect record; all new 800+ stores had signage on day of opening.
- Identified improved signage strategies for stores relocated to 2nd and 3rd-tiered (more difficult to find) locations working closely with new vendor as a creative, strategic business partner.
Appointed to take over Property Management in 2004. Ensured 850+ landlords across the U.S. followed and adhered to the letter of the lease, overseeing the Property Manager. Maintained good working relations with all landlords to ensure repairs made in a timely manner. Instituted tracking systems to hold landlords accountable.
Appointed to take over national telecom function in 2005. Oversaw the set up, cancellation and invoice review for 850+ stores; responsibilities absorbed by existing team members.
- Led nationwide transition to DSL across 200+ stores in 2007. Overcame numerous challenges to complete the roll out working with AT&T subcontractor. Added a DSL Tech in 2009, responsible for DSL and telecommunications of all new and relocation stores.
- Cut telecom expenses 10-15% within 12 months. Hired an Accounting Specialist in 2008 to oversee payments for all telephone and DSL invoices. Led review of invoices to identify unneeded services leading to the cancellation of 500+ unused telephone lines and 70+ duplicate DSL services.
