responses from a St. Paul Consortium committee survey of ABE/ESL learners to
determine learner needs and potential for instruction using educational technology.
Training Survey: Conducted statewide survey of adult ed coordinators and ESL 9/00-6/01
teachers to determine training needs. Helped organize a training conference in

o Blackboard: Have developed and taught courses at Hamline using Blackboard for fully
online and onsite courses
o D2L (Desire 2 Learn): Currently train faculty in the use of D2L and provide course
development guidelines and templates for the creation of asynchronous fully online
and hybrid course instruction.
o Moodle: Provided instructor support and training in developing online courses using
Moodle. Designed and taught online courses for literacy educators.
AUTHORING SOFTWARE
o Libra authorware: Created a virtual tour of Boynton Health Clinic using Libra authoring
software to help incoming students understand the university health care system. Students
could view pop-up forms, listen to common questions and answer comprehension questions.

communication at the University of Minnesota. Lived in a French immersion situation for 2

Farsi: Fluent in spoken Farsi and have intermediate writing skills. Lived in a Farsi immersion
