Robert Lyman founded Robert Lyman Company, Inc. as an Independent Insurance Agency in 1945. It has always been a family-owned business. I started working for my father (Bob Lyman) when I was about 10. After college I became the Vice President of Robert Lyman Company, Inc. Although I worked at other companies, I always worked as the Vice President of the Life, Health, Disability, and Long Term Care Division. I became the official President of Robert Lyman Company, Inc. in February 2003.

1974 to 1977

I started my career working at Overseas National Airways in the Interline Department for 3 years. The position was extremely customer service oriented. I also was in charge of scheduling the transportation of crewmembers; working with the Operations Department. In 1977 ONA had a layoff of 1/3 of all employees. I was the newest in my 3-person department and my position was eliminated.

1977 to 1981

ADP Financial Data Services, Inc., 42 Broadway, NYC, NY, as Executive Secretary for 6 Senior Vice Presidents; the President of ADP FDS, and Chairman of the Board of ADP. We were a new division called Financial Data Services. ADP FDS computerized the most of the brokerage companies, which lead to our computerization of the New York Stock Exchange.

1996 to 2001

I relocated to Colorado and opened Secretary Express, Inc. Secretary Express is a full charge bookkeeping service. Additionally, Secretary Express offers Personal Assistant, Customer Service, Resume assistance, and Collections for small businesses.

In 2001

I moved to Florida where I ran Robert Lyman Company, Inc. and changed Robert Lyman Company, Inc. to an insurance agency, Full Charge Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Pro) and Secretarial/Personal Assistant Business.

2001 to 2005

Worked at Tracy Dara Kamenstein, Inc. located at 235A Worth Avenue, Palm Beach, FL as a second full charge bookkeeper who worked part-time (at least 25 hours or more a week). The Kamenstein Family Businesses are varied. In addition to owning TDK, they own Sloan's Ice Cream Stores, have a property management division and are custom home builders/remodelers of property owned by David and Carol Kamenstein.

2005 to 2010

Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager for Dr. Barry Schultz. My responsibilities included overseeing a staff of 7. Dr. Schultz started as an internist and then became a pain management doctor. Unfortunately, Dr. Schultz was arrested for overprescribing pain medicime. Currently, Dr. Schultz has had all chages against him dropped and is in the process of getting his medical license reinstated.

2010 to PRESENT

Owner of Robert Lyman Company, Inc. I am specializing in selling of Long Term Care Insurance. I would like to get back into bookkeeping and customer service positions.
