Jan 1992 - Jan 2009: Golf Course Superintendent, Panther Valley Golf & Country Club, Allamuchy, NJ (Robert Trent Jones SR design)

Certified Golf Course Superintendent of a private 18-hole country club. Responsible for the integral management, maintenance, and daily operations of the club including pools and tennis courts. Completed renovation of all bunkers, rebuilt green surfaces for improved cupping and playability, leveled all tee box surfaces, and managed installation of Toro SitePro multi-row irrigation system.

March 1985 - Dec 1991: Golf Course Superintendent, Suburban Golf Club, Union, NJ (A.W. Tillinghast design)

Certified Golf Course Superintendent of a private 18-hole country club. Responsible for all phases of operation, maintenance, purchasing, employee training and safety. Negotiated bids and contracts for construction projects. Managed and trained employees in operation of computerized multi-row irrigation system in conjunction with weather stations. Maintained turf, tree and shrubbery nursery.

March 1980 - March 1985: Golf Course Superintendent, Basking Ridge Country Club, Basking Ridge, NJ

Total management of 18-hole private golf club. Restored neglected greens, tees and fairways, managed complete drainage and irrigation system and resumed play within 3 months. Responsible for tennis and swim facility operations along with site-wide horticulture program. Supervised the planning and construction of 16,500 square foot green including materials, labor, irrigation and sand bunkers while improving playability challenge and aesthetics.

March 1976 - Dec 1980: Senior Assistant Superintendent, Canoe Brook Country Club, Summit, NJ

36 hole private country club. Performed duties competently and completely as assigned. Responsible for overseeing employees, scheduling, purchasing supplies. Managed all aspects of the irrigation system. Prepared and applied chemical applications with specific documentation as required.

March 1970 - Feb 1976: First Assistant Superintendent, Flanders Valley Golf Course, Flanders, NJ (Hal Purdy/ Robert Trent Jones Jr. design)

Assistant Superintendent of a 45-hole operation, including construction of nine new holes and completion of 18 new holes.Education:

Golf Course Management, Rutgers College of Agriculture and Environmental Science (Cook College), 1971-1973

Military Service:

Enlisted in the US Army after high school graduation, served two tours of duty as a staff sergeant in the 2nd Ranger Division, 82nd Airborne Charlie Company, Viet Nam. Honorable discharge.
