*Led unit soldiers to achieve above standard results at summer training courses resulting in the organization receiving a recognition honor as Top 10% Unit of 271 ROTC units nationwide and best in a four state area; maintained personnel retention above the standard at 90%

*Project officer for the procurement of additional training areas and facilities upgrades during a period of university budget constraints and downsizing; coordinated efforts among university staff and upper administration

*Developed and implemented a dynamic plan to improve unit spending and logistical functions reducing organizational spending by 30% from previous years

*Developed a training plan which led Cadets to achieve above standard results at Leadership training courses; Cadets exceeded all upper echelon training averages in evaluated tasks during summer training

*Maintained 37 heavy vehicles with complex electronic systems over 13 months with a robust maintenance and training plan: due to level of readiness at 97%, organization was selected to represent the Air Defense branch in new PATRIOT missile testing and implementation

*Selected to serve as an advisor to the Department of Defense Directorate of Training Doctrine in rewriting the training and evaluation program for PATRIOT Advance Capability missile systems and equipment

May 2002 to August 2003 - Senior Tactical Operations Officer (Al Jaber, Kuwait):

Responsible for planning, coordination, resource management, and execution of training for an Air Defense Advanced Capability Missile Brigade consisting of 1540-personnel. Served as primary Army Liaison to the 3rd Marine Air Wing during combat operations. Provided Air Defense support, threat analysis and early warning threat detection for maneuver forces in Iraq and Kuwait.

*As a junior lieutenant, selected over all senior lieutenants in the organization to serve as the Senior Tactical Director; a position typically reserved for higher ranking personnel due to increased knowledge of system and tactical capabilities

*Superior knowledge of tactics, techniques, analytics and joint satellite communications architecture, led to the integration of mission critical defense designs and threat early warning concepts in support of maneuver forces during combat operations

*Trained Brigade and Battalion Air Defense crews to 100% certifications in preparation for combat operations; provided direct oversight to system maintenance plans to ensure fully mission capable Air Defense assets

*Implemented knowledge of tactics and system capabilities to integrate into Marine Corps assets

*Managed future planning cells in Marine operation center for Air Defense movements and tactical air strike; executed critical mission and situational briefings daily to Marine and Army senior leadership

*Coordinated plans to deploy a second Air Defense command post into Iraq and integrate with Marine assets in order to provide an increased ability to provide early warning treat detection to ground forces

*Responsible for managing the system designed to detect threats and provide early warning from Tactical Ballistic Missile (TBM) launches into Kuwait and Iraq

Key Skills

I have been fortunate to be able to work with many like-minded individuals in high operational tempo, task and results oriented environments. I have developed my management and organizational skills to maximize output and minimize mistakes. I have re-written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies. I have implemented, evaluated and adjusted them to best serve the Army and my customers within the regulations that are required. I have surrounded myself with technical and tactical experts in their fields and have learned from these individuals. I have also been able to learn from those that are not experts in their respective fields.

I have taken part in the planning, training, preparation, execution, and review processes associated with equipment testing, quality control of new equipment and resources. I have also been the project manager for multiple projects in both my military and civilian careers. I have worked with multiple agencies and teams for one common goal and was able to successfully manage all priorities within the task set.

I have been given budgets to manage and execute during times of downsizing and constraints within organizations. I have been in charge of administrative functions within organizations to include reward programs for employees. I have studied Lean Manufacturing principals, Six- Sigma, negotiation, liabilities and contracts and communications management.
