April 2009 to present.
Lead multiple teams to successful implementation of Navy training programs for Navy leadership, instructors, and the Department of Defense
Identified and integrated an open-source rapid prototype courseware development tool for the Center when their existing tools license expired. As part of the integration, I secured funding for modifications to make the tool flexible and responsive to the needs of the client and their staff with the result that the entire staff is now operational using the tool, the product is significantly improved, and the center did not have to purchase new licenses for its 20 designers.
Promoted to Senior Instructional Designer with the agreement of the client who had not approved any ISD promotions during the eight year contract.
Act as consultant and trainer to the government service staff to scope projects, provide guidance on how to organize and implement the project, and familiarize them with current practices in training development, performance factors, and innovative approaches to move information to their target audiences.\
Work directly with the program managers of seven courses, the training managers for four functional teams, and the executive leadership of the center to identify priorities, funding requirements, and resource management.
Initiated several new processes that have been codified in Navy regulations and instructions governing training including quality assurance processes, stakeholder input processes, resource identification, instructional strategy development processes, and training analysis processes.
