Letter of Recommendation for Thomas Whitehead

To: Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to make my highest personal and professional employment recommendation for Thomas Whitehead. Tom's character, work ethic, job performance, and job knowledge have all been impressive. He has been a top performing employee in our organization. I have complete confidence in his continued excellence on the job, whether at our organization or at any agency or organization that he may join in the future.

Tom has worked under my direct supervision since June 2012 in Storekeeper I and Storekeeper III positions in our State Surplus Property Warehouse. Tom works tirelessly to ensure attention to detail and completeness of work. He assists customers from both the general public and from other government agencies. He interacts with dozens of customers each week. Many are customers viewing or claiming property from the general public; many are property managers from numerous other agencies. He is highly respected by all those he interacts with, and many compliments have been forwarded to management regarding his superior customer service work ethic. He is well respected by all of our customers and other staff because of his customer friendly personality, his professional demeanor, and to be counted on to help each customer or fellow employee through all of their needs.

Tom has supervised other full time permanent staff and temporary employees on a regular basis. He provides strong leadership, meaningful work direction, detailed training, and is always a positive example to follow. Tom works with little oversight and can be fully trusted to accept any level of responsibility. He is always dependable to get any job done. Tom regularly volunteers to assist as needed with other areas of work within the division, whether customer relations, materials handling, integrating new software in our inventory system, or even to work past regular hours to prepare property for auction. He is a valuable asset through his job knowledge, versatility, and willingness to be a strong team player.

I give my highest possible recommendation for Tom. I would be happy to address or expand on any inquiry that may be made.

Yours Sincerely,

DAVID C. HOLLIS,

Public Service Administrator Assistant Manager,
