Work Experience
GLEASON CUTTING TOOL
Production Cell Operator, 12/2011 - 1/2013
As a Production Cell Operator I ran and used a number of machines for re-sharpening and conditioning various
cutting tools. I inspected, measured, sharpened and bead-blasted 25-30 shaper cutters daily over a period of 6
months. I used multiple precision grinders simultaneously, where I recorded before and after cutter depths, sharp-
ened parts and recorded the final rake angle. I ran a roughness analysis to make sure parts were in acceptable
tolerance and entered the recorded measurements on paper forms and the computer. I printed package labels with
part identifications and measurements to be used when shipped to the customer. In a production support position I
was responsible for bead-blasting cutting tools for the various machine operators in the department.
On a typical shift I blasted between 70-90 cutting tools per evening using multiple blasting stations, returning the
cutters to the original operators for a final review of the pieces. I also moved the products forward to the next required
process area as directed on the routing slips.
Work Experience
LOWES DISTRIBUTION CENTER
Team Member, 12/2008-12/2011
As a self starting and motivated individual and as an integral part of a team I worked to meet and exceed
3,000 cubic feet of product per trailer at Lowes Distribution Center. As we covered ten trailers daily with
four team members on twelve hour shifts, we loaded 30-42 trailers per weekend. With a shipping average
of 10-14 trailer loads a day, we utilized a combination of loading methods including conveyor systems, fork-
lifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks. During my employment at Lowes RDC I was cross trained in Induction,
Receiving and Print and Apply, with labeling of products for temporary storage or immediate distribution.
