Senior Projects Manager [2004-2006]

Multiple projects including University of Wisconsin Mechanical Engineering building valued at US $40.2 M; Michigan Technical University: CILIT Library & Computer Sciences buildings valued at US $28.7M and several smaller projects including the University Wisconsin Madison Charter Street Heating Plant, University of Wisconsin Lowell Parking Ramp, Michigan Technical University Wadsworth Hall Student Housing and the University of Indina ETC Expansion Hospital valued at US $35M and D. Consulting services included every discipline of construction management from preconstruction services, quantity survey and estimating, time management, value engineering, trade-off studies, modeling, life-cycle costing, administrative services, quality management, cost management and delivery systems. Projects oversight during training totaled US $630M.

A one year contract turned into four years.

MORGAN CENTER / Beijing, China

Director Peck/Jones International / Archasia JV [1996-1998]

Peck/Jones International/Archasia Design Group JV was hired to perform full preconstruction services for the Morgan Center (Gateway to the Olympics)and the headquarters of Morgan Guarantee China Corp. Project consisted of mixed-use totaling 11.0 millon sq.ft. of office, condominium, shopping botiques with parking and support facilities on a common podium at a value of US $1.1B. Preconstruction services were completed and the project was constructed.

P.O.S.F. HOUSING DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION / Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

Managing Director Peck/Jones International/CMS [1996-1998]

Total responsibility for managing design, construction and site development including sewerage treatment plant, site utilities, earthwork with subsequent construction of 5,000 single family homes for employees of the Public Officers Superannuation Fund. The value of the project was US $52.7M

PECK/JONES CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION / Los Angeles, California

Executive Vice President / Special Projects [1991-1996]

Responsible for reorganization and down sizing of company after purchase of C.L. Peck Construction and multiple special projects, many of which were marketed, closed, bid out trades, awarded and managed through oversite of division. Projects in this division were located in Chicago, Illinois, throughout the State of California and Western Nevada. Projects included but are not limited to LAX Fuel Terminal, Beverly Hills Hotel, Beverly Wilshire Hotel, 1700 cellular sites for Pacific Bell Mobile services (CA & Nevada), Seismic reconstruction of St. Monica Church, One Colorado Shopping Center, Skirball Culteral Center, Media Center Shopping Mall, Saks Fifth Avenue, University of Illinois Parking Structure, Schaumberg Library, Barney's New York flagship stores in Beverly Hills and Chicago, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondalet landslip mitigation (prepared preliminary design) and other projects of lesser import. Moved to Santa Fe to retire. Started a new construction company to build custom homes for select customers and during this time was asked to negotiate the construction of the Inn of the Anassazzi. That project was awarded the "International Small Luxury Hotel of the Year".Still maintain the ownership of this company.

Managed department for full services preconstruction for this mid-sized Construction Management company. Management included but was not limited to planning, estimating and scheduling from conception through completion construction doucments, bid, buy-out and award. Projects were then turned over to Operations. Annual volume approximately $150 to $180M. Sigal Construction was awared the "Fastest Growing, Privately Owned Company in the United States by Inc Magazine in 1984. The company specialized in commercial and institutional development and specialty interior works.

BECKET INTERNATIONAL / Beijing, China

Construction Manager [1980-1983]

On-site manager of construction for the 1007 key Great Wall Hotel. This was the first major project with an American based company since the Cultural Revolution. Responsibilities included oversight of Chinese Construction Contractor #6, interface with design and construction departments of both companies, maintaining good relations with our JV Partner; China International Travel Service at the field level, negotiating revisions, resolving design constructability issues,and mitigating means and methods differences with a special emphasis on quality control. Value $143M.
