OEF-RC East Regional Manager/Management Analyst

During my time in Afghanistan, I was responsible for two large scale, regional-wide software and hardware upgrades; as well as daily meetings with US and NATO commanders and leaders at all levels to provide briefings and recommendations on technologies, products, and support structure.

* Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Managing a team of over 30 systems engineers, and developers, spanning across Parts of Afghanistan and Kuwait.

* Directly supporting over 70 server Stacks and 495 clients on three separate networks.

* Providing daily and weekly reports on all TMC operations, personnel, support, and systems throughout this theater of operations, back to our government and civilian leadership.

* Coordinating training and software fielding, installation, configuration, and support structure.

* Responsible for project planning and support proposals on large scale information technology projects, such as implementing a coop site to continue IT services during power outages and incoming fire from the opposition.

* Train NATO, Coalition and US military forces on all facets of Tactical Mission Command hardware and software, including server and client build-outs, system administrator and end user training.

* Developed and implemented an extensive training program after performing a regional operating system and software upgrade. This was accomplished by using senior retired officers who understood the army wartime planning practices. After creating the training plan and POI, I carefully matched the instructors skill set with needs of the customer. By using project planning techniques this ensured that all the customers that were assigned to different (FOB`s) forward operation bases in Afghanistan received training that exceeded the military`s expectation.

My budget was $10,000; I completed the project spending only $500.00. I accomplished this by using discarded program resources and networking with former military colleagues.

* Became the face for all software, hardware, and training related needs associated with TMC supported products; to include a General Dynamic`s C4ISR proprietary software, Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and the Battle Command and Control Server (BCCS) consisting of 45virtual server stacks.

* Responsible for briefing all upgrades and hardware changes to senior level commanders and the Program Manager during sync conferences, and new material briefs.

* Mentored and supervised 15 FSR`s providing quick responsive support for all military training exercises and maintained a CCO helpdesk as needed during real world combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.

* Wrote and enforced Standard Operation Procedures (SOP`s) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP`s) to ensure the customer received the support the program promised.

* Planned and implemented all training plans, software and/or systems upgrades and modifications.

* Made weekly visits to other military installations in Kansas to ensure that the programs FSR`s were adhering to program policies and to resolve roadblocks impeding support to the customer.

* Recommended to higher all hardware/software changes needed to keep the customer current while maintaining the hardware`s life cycle requirements/warranty requirements.
