Marketing and Strategic Planning Coordinator Parkview Level II Trauma Center 1996-Present
Develop the strategic plans and marketing plans for Parkview Level II Trauma Center, which include media relations, advertising, social media and education for Trauma Prevention.
Plan and implement outreach efforts to area hospitals and physician practices to promote the Trauma Center and the flight program. Supervise staff of seven who are responsible for education, marketing and outreach in community and area schools. Goal is to increase market share and brand throughout the region. Results: 12% market share rise in year one, which was the first increase seen in three years; continued increases every year since.
Conceived, developed and implemented the Don't Text and Drive program locally that grew to an international level. Worked directly with school educators, local law enforcement, Indiana Surgical Specialists, emergency physicians, Parkview Hospital administration and several community leaders and volunteer groups. Results:
Currently reach 82% of our school children each year with our programs: Don't Text and Drive, Car Control Clinic, Don't Drink and Drive and Bike Helmet Safety.
Attracted national celebrities to endorse the campaigns: Jordin Sparks, Jeff Gordon, American Idol, Glee, NASCAR, Astronaut David Wolf, Mike Vanderact of the Indianapolis Colts and Good Morning America.
The Don't Text and Drive program spokeswoman was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The Don't Text and Drive Facebook page recently exceeded 100,000 fans.
The Bike Helmet campaign won local, state & national awards, including Best of Show at IABC.

Developed and implemented marketing strategies for Parkview Health System and Parkview affiliated physicians. Responsibilities included media relations, press conferences and special events. Wrote technical and feature articles for Parkview monthly publications.
Developed and implemented marketing plans for Parkview Trauma Center, Parkview Samaritan, Regional Rehabilitation and Neurological Center, Parkview Senior Club, Parkside Health and Fitness Club.
