Primary responsibilities as a Welding Engineer with Kiewit Off-Shore included development of (PQR`s) Procedure Qualification Records, writing of (WPS`s) Welding Procedure Specification, reviewing client welding specifications for project specific requirements, and providing technical support for welding related issue on our off shore projects.

In addition to my Welding Engineer responsibilities, I was tasked with the role of Project Quality Representative for our Tamar project, a 22,000 ton Offshore Platform as well a 800 ft. Jacket. During my time as the Project Quality Representative my responsibilities included, documentation of project quality issues as well as cost, tracking quality trends to find areas were improvement may be needed, reviewing client specifications for quality related requirements, conversing with Client side management; and inspectors to resolve quality related issues to further insure Client satisfaction, and providing technical support to our projects CWI`s.

As a result of my position with KOS I gained valuable knowledge and experience interpreting industrial codes such as AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and DNV-OS-F101

In addition to an Associate`s degree, I have received an Enhanced Welding Skills Certificate. This courses primary focus is advanced pipe welding techniques such as, 6G, and 6G restricted tests using GTAW root pass, GTAW hot pass, E7018 fill and cap on 2" as well as 6" heavy wall pipe. In addition to this course I accumulated practice in basic pipe fitting such as, torch cutting saddles, three piece 90's, reducers, and branch test.
