formats such as SCORM 1.2 and WebCT, synchronization (to enable students

and instructors to work offline as needed), performance-based navigation,

contextual note-taking, progress tracking, and integration with learning

management systems. Researched the higher education market to identify

needs of distance-learning educators, staff, and students. Conceived

and prototyped the general design of the e-Learning Courseware platform.

Wrote software requirements and co-wrote specifications. Coordinated

development and testing of software through overseas (Russian) programmers.

Specified design requirements for content. Worked with editorial team,

instructional designers, authors, and production staff to develop content.

Created design templates and storyboards for interactive content. Worked

with Editorial and Production groups to define processes and to develop

tools through which content is developed and produced. Provided content

developers on techniques for improving the design of online courses.

Developed prototype case-based learning modules and simulation “templates”

for future web-based training products. Assisted in writing responses

to RFPs. Represented the company in various committees and projects

related to learning technologies, including a technology grant committee

for the Washington D.C. public school system, providing product demonstrations

and speaking on a discussion panel at SCORM PlugFests, and working with

the State University of New York to develop technology to support computer
