Developing process
control, automation and data acquisition systems for commercial and
industrial clients.
Specializing in
developing multimedia based, interactive applications and
integrating these technologies with conventional process control
tools for an easy to use, yet powerful design solution.

1990 - 1999: Concurrent
Technologies Corporation (CTC), Johnstown, PA
1.5 years Line
Management experience leading a group of 20+ engineers and
technicians. Functional responsibilities included the operation and
maintenance of CTC s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility,
engineering design of manufacturing workcells installed in the
facility and the installation of equipment within the workcells.
2.5 years Construction
Management experience. Responsible for managing construction and
renovation projects with budgets totaling more than $10 million.
Managed all phases of the construction projects including conceptual
design, detailed design, contractor selection and construction
oversight. Lead teams consisting of CTC staff, consulting engineers
and construction contractors. All projects were completed on
schedule and within budget.
2 years Project
Management experience. Lead a project team of software developers,
electrical engineers and consultants responsible for developing a
plant wide process control and data acquisition system for CTC s
Manufacturing and Environmental Technology Laboratories. The system
incorporates distributed process control architectures, computer
based operator interface panels, and an Oracle database server for
data storage. Also, provided Intranet access to the information
collected by the system via the World Wide Web. Managed a project
budget in excess of $1 million.
3 years Engineering
Design experience in support of various CTC projects involving
electrical system design, process control and data acquisition
system engineering.
1983 - 1990:
Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation, Huntingdon, PA
2 years Project
Engineering experience. Responsible for engineering design and
management of capital improvement projects within the Huntingdon
plant. Projects included the installation of a manufacturing process
which produces glass based electrical conductors as well as projects
in the fiberglas Forming, Roving, Mat Line and Twist and Ply
departments.
3 years Electrical
Maintenance Supervision experience. Responsible for supervising 25
electricians and instrumentation specialists within the Huntingdon
plant. Implemented a plant wide, electrical system preventive and
predictive maintenance program. Developed an apprenticeship training
program in conjunction with the local Vocational-Technical School to
improve the technical skills of the electrical staff.
2 years Process
Engineering experience. Responsible for developing data acquisition
and process control systems to improve the manufacturing processes
within the Huntingdon plant. Projects involved bushing and melter
temperature control, winder speed modulation, batch mixing and
material handling. Also, developed data acquisition systems to
support product development teams in the Forming, South Forming, Mat
Line and Conductive Roving departments.
