ART EXHIBITIONS & PUBLIC PROGRAMS: Curated over 30 exhibitions. Hosted

gallery talks and public lectures. Connected exhibits to campus-wide themes and community

interests. Designed & implemented symposia on feminist art, arts education & the intersection

between literature & visual art. Coordinated event logistics including a 12-day, 350-person,

residential seminar. Commissioned and managed production of original artworks and theater.

Managed artist-in-residence program. Coordinated grant making programs.

TEACHING & ARTS EDUCATION: Taught students of all ages from infants to senior

citizens. Taught in wide variety of settings including elementary school, gallery, university &

community center. Increased participation through community outreach & improved programs.

Designed & implemented professional development programs (in person and online) for teams of

teaching artists & arts teachers collaborating to build long-term in-school initiatives. Sat on panels

for arts education grants. Teaching projects included puppet parades, photographic essays,

mosaics, youth-curated exhibits, historic walking tours & artists books.

COLLECTIONS: Sat on public art selection committees. Managed art & historic object

collections. Oversaw acquisitions. Developed art donations policy. Managed conservation and

framing projects. Photographed and researched objects. Created and maintained collections

databases and paper records.

ORGANIZATIONAL ADMINISTRATION: Recruited new board members & built board

capacity. Hired, trained and managed staff, consultants and interns. Conducted staff evaluations.

Created & maintained organizational databases. Led strategic planning sessions. Secured new

location & coordinated build-out & move of new gallery (for two institutions). Evaluated program

effectiveness. Handled event logistics.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Completed 5-year financial analyses for over 50 nonprofit

organizations. Managed finances for nonprofits including payroll, bookkeeping & budgeting.

Managed budgets of over $1M. Increased earned income through arts education contracts, art

sales & consulting opportunities. Secured loans.

FUNDRAISING & DEVELOPMENT: Identified & secured new funding sources from

state, federal and private entities. Tripled net of gala event. Launched organization s first-ever

annual appeal. Built & maintained donor relationships. Secured more than $300K in art donations

and $1M in historical object donations.

COMMUNICATIONS & ADVOCACY: Launched & managed organizational web sites.

Managed e-mail marketing campaigns. Initiated, wrote & designed newsletters and appeals. Wrote

& distributed press releases. Advocated for the arts & arts education with state and national

lawmakers. Spoke at national convention of arts educators and policy makers. Edited the written

work of employees & colleagues. Wrote catalog essays. Supervised catalog design and printing.

COMMUNITY BUILDING & PARTNERSHIPS: Facilitated diverse constituent
