Field Supervisor, Succession Management Program

January 2006 – Present

I was hired by CLS to participate in the company s new Succession Management Program. This program was designed to bring in recruits that CLS recognized as potential management and transition them through various positions to familiarize them with the utility locate industry. The goal of this program is to transition candidates into a District Management position within 18 to 24 months. The first position of this progression is that of a Utility Locate Technician. Below are some of my achievements and responsibilities with regard to this post.

Achievements

• Completed Safe Driving certification required

to operate company vehicles.

• Completed five weeks of utility locate theory

training and passed Utility Locate Technician Certification

test at the conclusion of classroom training.

• Completed five weeks of utility locate theory

• Promoted to a field supervisor position from

a Damage Prevention Specialist position after only 6

Project Coordinator, 19th Street Development Project

August 2004 – August 2005

Contract Position

I proposed the pursuit of an economic development initiative

to the President of Muhlenberg College who agreed to the project

and contracted me to act as the Project Coordinator. This project

was intended to nurture the relationship between the college

and its surrounding community; however, the 19th Street Development

Project grew into an initiative pursued by the County of Lehigh,

City of Allentown and Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Some of my achievements as the 19th Street Project Coordinator

were:

• Organized a “Champions Committee”

with representatives from: The City of Allentown; Lehigh

County; The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce;

and other organizations with vested interest.

Acted as a liaison between the 19th Street Champions’

Committee and more than 100 businesses.

• Produced

a walking map of the businesses in the 19th Street Civic

District.

• Supervised two seminars for Muhlenberg

College Entrepreneurial Studies seniors.

Organized several meetings with the Merchants of the 19th

Street Civic District.

• Took minutes and wrote

agendas for all ‘Champions’ Committee’

meetings.

• Organized and executed a ‘19th

Street Community Film Forum’ and a ‘19th Street

Fair’.

Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges–

Community Fellow, College Valley Project

August 2004 – August 2005

Contract Position

The College Valley Project is part of an economic development

initiative begun by former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge and

continued under the administration of Pennsylvania Governor

Ed Rendell. The purpose of this initiative is to stem the ‘brain

drain’ in the state of Pennsylvania. This project is a

reaction to the Brookings Report findings that Pennsylvania

exports more college graduates than any other state. My responsibilities

included:

• Participating in all Steering Committee

Meetings.

• Participating in all Marketing Committee

Meetings.

• Creating a web maintenance policy

for the College Valley Website [http://www.collegevalleypa.com].

• Providing assistance on the development of

a College Valley ‘Student Welcoming Festival’

scheduled for Fall 2005.

Web Content Coordinator and Presidential Assistant

August 2003 – August 2004

Contract Position

As the Muhlenberg College Web Content Coordinator I was responsible

for the following tasks:

• Maintenance of the Muhlenberg College

Web Site.

• Developing new sites for Departments

within the College.

• Editing existing Site

Content and checked for out of date material.

Meeting with faculty and department webmasters to instruct

how to update and maintain web accessibility.

Reporting twice a month to the heads of the Office of
