workloads for routine performance testing of large-scale systems. Completed performance
testing of new software features and proposed infrastructure changes. Identi ed and local-

Intel Labs Pittsburgh (Summer, Fall 2009) System administrator for a 1300+ CPU
Linux cloud computing testbed. Reworked components of management infrastructure to
minimize overhead and provide better view of cluster status (Nagios, sysklogd, Ganglia,
ipmi). Assisted with day-to-day administration, deployment of new software and hardware.
Benchmarked and tuned storage systems using NFS and Gluster.
MICDS (Summer, 2006, 2007 (part-time), 2008): Customized a range of software to in-
tegrate with the student information system (Active Directory + Oracle database) Imple-
mented a helpdesk system (RT), Windows + OS X multicast network imaging, monitoring
system (Nagios) and Open Directory environment with Active Directory integration.
Vibe Solutions Group (Summer, 2007): Assisted in the setup and upgrading of develop-
ment tools such as Subversion, Bugzilla and mod dav. Developed and put into production
bandwidth monitoring (RRDtool) and backup systems (Amazon S3).
