Typing, proofing, issuing commercial insurance policies and endorsements continuously against strict deadlines. Responsible for compiling the data for highly detailed monthly Excel reports for client companies.

2002-2003 - Temp Work, Fernandina Beach, Florida, and vicinity through Satilla Business Services. Short and long-term assignments. Clients included The Ritz-Carlton, Nassau County Board of County Commissioners, Amelia Island Plantation, White Oak Plantation, and Amelia Underwriters.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR EDITING/PUBLISHING/WRITING

1997-Present - Hollywood Film Festival - Editor/Writer, HFF Program Book, PR Materials, Website. Writing, editing, research for the festivals website, press releases, festival film program brochure, gala awards ceremony script, etc. The festival includes the Hollywood Film Screenings, special screenings and events, and the star-studded Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. In October 2011 we held our 15th highly successful star-studded annual event. 1997-2000: Assistance in the Beverly Hills office with the planning, organization and execution of the festival.

1995-2004 - The Hollywood Network - Editor/Administrator. Independent entertainment industry-related websites a network of sites, including the Hollywood Network and Indie Network, among others. Sites contained a tremendous amount of content, as well as more than 50 industry professionals offering their expertise online. Provided assistance with all aspects of the sites, including constant site maintenance/administration, web page creation, working closely with programmers, contributors, advertisers, affiliates, and users/members, maintaining online databases, handling emailings, etc. Also administrator of the Missing Persons CyberCenter, 1995-2004.

1994-1997 - Editor and Desktop Publisher of Opening the Doors to Hollywood: How to Sell Your Idea, Story, Book, Screenplay, by Carlos de Abreu & Howard J. Smith (Custos Morum Publishers, Beverly Hills, California, hardback, 432 pages, 1995. Revised edition published by Three Rivers Press, a division of Crown Publishers, trade paperback, fall 1997.) Researched and wrote material for the book, did all of the desktop publishing work from manuscript to bluelines, provided editorial assistance, copy editing and fact checking as needed. Also marketing, advertising, and sales assistance.

1993-1995 - Copy Editor and Desktop Publisher of Husband, Lover, Spy by Janice Pennington with Carlos de Abreu (Custos Morum Publishers, hardback; St. Martins Press, paperback). A New York Times best-seller about The Price Is Right hostess Janice Penningtons 17-year-long search for her former husband. Provided copy editing and desktop publishing from manuscript to bluelines.

1997-1999 - Editor and Desktop Publisher of Dream of Venus (Or Living Pictures), a novel by Miles Beller (432 pages, released by C.M. Publishing in 2000). All desktop publishing/design (except jacket) and copy editing. Liaison with printer and other suppliers.
