I have graduated from Gateway Community College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting. Currently, I am enrolled in the Distance Learning Program through NAU to complete my Bachelors in Health Science/PTA. I have completed many Continuing Education Courses in all areas of concern. My enthusiasm for the job I am seeking is fresh and my people skills are the highest. I believe in team work and will always aim for a team spirited environment. I am currently working with the adult population. The clientele has included Pain Management, Ortho Rehab, and MS patients to list a few. I have also worked with the Special Needs Population and enjoy that area immensely. In fact, I just enjoy all the clients I work with, and I believe it shows.
The 2000 hours needed as a Physical Therapist Assistant to work without direct supervision has been completed and long surpassed.
My work areas have educated me in so many new venues, such as Trachs and Vents, and so many aspects regarding working with Trach and Vents. Prosthetic devices and the training of patient donning and doffing of these devices, along with patient wear is another area I have become trained in. I am also proficient in the use of the LiteGait.
Before taking on this awesome career, I was a secretary for many years. Billing, scheduling, phones, and running many office machines were only part of what my days included. So when the front office needs help, I am always happy to respond.
