Hobbies and Interests
Computers and the Internet
Computers have always been an interest that has developed into a real
interest in the web and web page building. This page is an example of one
of my firsts. If it has a keyboard and a mouse I can figure it out. If
it doesn't, like my apple Newton, I can still figure it out. I am set up
well enough now to have a company (see next item).
Entrepreneur
The company GOFOR GROUP was started by my wife and I
November 1995. The company has a very broad range of interests. We can
be your go for, for all most anything! You can explore our
web site to find out more about what we do, but are not limited to doing.
Photography
A passion for over 15 years. I have produced 3 yearbooks as photographer,
layout and editor. I have had many photographs used in public displays
and in publications. I often use slides for presentations and have an eye
for pictures that can be used for visual presentations. I always try to
have a slide film in one Minolta while a print film awaits in the other
one. I have had good success with slide/print/electronic films too.
Outdoor activities and the Environment
I have been camping since before I knew it. I was picking up litter
the first year Pollution Probe was invented, but thought it was a strange
fund raiser for our Boy Scout Troop. We recycled in our house before the
term curbside was ever thought of. Fixing cages and feeding birds at the
Roy Iver Bird Sanctuary was just what we did on the weekend.
Canada
The term "been there done that" comes to mind. Not many can say
they have crossed the country a number of times. My last coast to coast
trek was the most interesting and educational. Starting in Victoria, BC
I hitch-hiked to Alaska via Whitehorse and Dawson. I found the whole experience
so fulfilling I decided to go to the other coast under the same power.
I was in Fortune NFLD within two months. Wow great stories and a great
unpublished book. I have an understanding of the country that few can ever
fathom or want to copy.
