Game-Changing Achievements

Designed and executed a marketing campaign that made super low-latency H.264 video coding the most coveted feature in interactive consumer and professional applications. The campaign earned the prestigious CES Innovations 2009 Award and was the catalyst for a $25M M&A exit.

Defined and articulated the vision for video coding in mass-consumer applications that became the blue print for any innovative product introduced and yet to be introduced into the market. This vision earned the prestigious Best of CES 2001 Marketing Award and was the catalyst for a $800M M&A exit.

Chaired the PICMG COM Express standards committee, then launched and evangelized the standard to become the industry s fastest growing standard for industrial applications, accounting currently for over 20% of x86 processor sales in the industrial embedded market.

2009 – present: Magnum Semiconductor, USA 2010-present: Director Sales Broadcast Solutions. Responsible for US West Coast and South America sales. Closed over 15 design wins in less than 12 months. Added over $40M in lifetime revenue. Consistently overcoming tough quarterly revenue goals through focus, persistence, negotiation skills, customer relationship management and technical product knowledge. Proven track record for closing complex, multi-million dollar business deals. Direct access to C-level executives. Successfully integrated new channel partners and new internal sales managers into the company's sales process.

2009-2010: Director Marketing Broadcast Solutions. Successfully defined, launched and drove sales of the company's digital broadcast encoder/decoder/transcoder board-level products for emerging markets, China, India and Brazil, adding over $10M in annual revenue. Managed major tradeshows, including NAB and IBC. Received for helping to make the company's DXT and DXTPro video encoder and transcoder chips best selling products.

1997 – 1999: Auctor Corp, USAProduct Marketing Manager. Defined and drove the implementation of a Windows CE PDA technology platform for the consumer and vertical embedded market segments with Microsoft as strategic partner. Successfully negotiated IP licensing agreements with SE-Asian and US-based OEMs and ODMs.

2006 – 2008: W&W Communications, Inc. (acquired by Cavium Networks), Sunnyvale, CA, USA

VP Marketing. Developed the company’s super low-latency H.264 video codec strategy, product definitions and markets. Successfully evangelized the technology and launched products into wireless home video distribution, gaming, video conferencing and video surveillance markets. 1995 – 1997: Analog Devices, Inc., SingaporeGeneral Manager & Field Marketing Manager. Established and managed the Analog Devices Singapore branch office. Drove a strategy of manufacturable reference designs and partnerships with academia and research institutes for the company’s PC sound chips and digital signal processors. Designed and executed several brand awareness campaigns in South-East Asia for the company’s PC sound and DSP chips. Penetrated multiple accounts in Taiwan, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong, growing top-line revenue north of $30M.

2001 – 2005: PFU Systems, Inc.- A Fujitsu Company, Santa Clara, CA, USA

VP Marketing, Technology and Business Development. Established computer-on-module (COM) as the most important innovation in the embedded computing industry since PC/104. Chaired the computer-on-modules standards subcommittee, successfully launched and evangelized the standard in a strategic partnership with Intel. Assembled a $15M+ Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 COM Express customer portfolio in the medical, gaming, industrial control, test & measurement and homeland security markets. Managed all outbound marketing activities, including web site, industry press and analyst briefings, white papers, case studies, advertising campaigns and partnerships.

1992 – 1995: Institute of Microelectronics, SingaporeR&D Manager and Member of Technical Staff. One of first 10 employees to establish the institute. Setup and ran a VLIW synthesis program for digital signal processing algorithms. Defined and launched national digital signal processing R&D programs and successfully ran several and technology transfer programs with local companies and multinationals as customers.

2000 – 2001: C-Cube (acquired by LSI Logic), USA

Strategic Marketing Manager. Defined and articulated the company’s revolutionary “digital home” video coding vision and managed the successful launch of the company’s DoMiNo SD/HD MPEG-2 codecs. Managed industry press and analyst briefings and white papers. Earned CES 2001 Best of CES Product and Marketing Awards for DoMiNo and the “digital home” vision, ultimately contributing to an $800M+ acquisition by LSI Logic.

1989 – 1992: United Nations, New York, USASystems Analyst. Assigned under the Dutch National Service Program. Ported over a world wide purchasing application from an DB2 IBM mainframe platform to an Oracle x86 server platform.
