Sr. Project Manager, Extended Power Uprate (EPU) (2010 - Present): Sr. Project Manager in charge of a $50 Million budget during 2 refueling outages, including online implementations.
Projects included:
During 2010 outage - Installation of the Bentley Nevada Turbine Vibration Monitoring System. This included all field instrumentation as well as changes to the Plant Process Computer and Control Room Displays.
For 2013 outage:
o Reactor Feed Pumps, Condensate Pumps, Feed Water Heaters, MG Set Motors and two transformers are being replaced. Managing the condition monitoring implementation, including a new fiber optic backbone throughout the power block sized to include future technology deployments. Responsible for interfacing with multiple plant organizations (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance). Also responsible for managing several External Design Organizations interfacing to these organizations including contract administration, schedule development, implementation and cost control.
MNGP Site I/T Manager 2008-2010
Supervised the Site I/T organization responsible for new technology deployments during pre-outage planning. Responsible for information technology operations and applications support for the site. Oversaw the acquisition and rehabilitation of a new In-processing Center. Seven thousand workers have been processed through this facility since its turnover.

Developed strategy for consolidation of Train Dispatching Control Centers for Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Railroads. Project included development of vision based on new technologies, established industry operating procedures and worldwide best practices and a gap analysis against current environment

EXELON NUCLEAR - Director of Information Technology 2001-2006
Provided technical leadership for project planning, design, implementation and architecture standards as well as management oversight of technical operations at ten Nuclear Power Plants. Managed a staff of 80 employees and a $40 million budget.
Selected Projects:
Established and implemented Telecommunications network infrastructure and applications strategy for Nuclear power stations, defining connectivity standards, hardware and software platforms and operating costs going from an environment with mixed hardwired approaches, caused by numerous mergers and acquisitions, to VOIP. Led selection of Telecommunications providers and negotiations with vendors. Project saved more than $20 million annually and resulted in improved customer service, more timely dispatching of work orders and greater ability to detect location of crews.
Led redesign and replacement of real-time security systems at ten locations affecting 15,000 security devices by moving from PDP-11s to Intel technology and providing the ability for enhanced personnel tracking. Project realized over $3 million in maintenance cost savings and provided better security in a time period in which the risk of terrorist security violations were at an all-time high.
Led cost containment project which reduced internal costs by 20%, eliminating multiple manual processes and headcount.
Developed an Exelon-wide project prioritization program based on business cases which was implemented against $400 million of information technology projects annually. New project review processes improved on-time/on-budget delivery metrics by 10%.
Responsible for information technology operations and applications support for ten Nuclear Power Plants using a distributed approach for local support and a centralized team for project work.

CSX TRANSPORTATION - Director of Dispatch Systems 1998-2001
Responsible for all phases of Real Time Traffic Control Systems Development. Managed a project organization upwards of 100 people, with a budget of $40M. Supported the $10.8 B acquisition of Conrail by the Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation Companies. This was the most complex acquisition in the Transportation Logistics Industry.
Selected Projects:
Responsible for the creation of eight distributed control centers on behalf of CSX, Norfolk Southern and Conrail which was the result of the division of existing Conrail facilities into new legally aligned entities. Project included requirement alignment and approval, .facility construction, application development, infrastructure implementation, required Federal Railway Association testing and operational startup of new operating units which would later be operated by the new entities using consistent architectures allowing for seamless car movement between railroads, reduced customer costs, agreed railroad -wide standards, and consistency.
Developed strategy for Next Generation Train Dispatching Systems moving beyond a centralized or distributed approach to a combination to be applied based on geographic operational density.
