Current Responsibilities:
Mr. Friedman is currently a Facility Manager / Senior Occupancy Planner on the Nokia Siemens Networks account. He is responsible for the Facility Management of the Fort Worth Engineering R&D site, consisting of office and lab space. He is also currently responsible for Occupancy Planning data for over 30 site`s globally consisting of approximately 3M square feet.
Experience:
Prior to being a Facility Manager / Senior Occupancy Planner, Mr. Friedman was both the Occupancy Planner and Project Manager for a Motorola facility developed in Austin, Texas. Mr. Friedman has over 20 years of diversified experience related to the real estate, architectural and engineering industries, including; office, hotel, retail, manufacturing, and airports. He has unique experience in facility management, design, airport planning, estimating, space planning, project management, construction management, computer-aided facilities/asset management, and consulting to support the managing, leasing, marketing and sales of real estate. Occupancy Planning: Over 10 years Occupancy Planning with includes the initial CAFM data upload and maintenance of approximately 45 buildings globally containing about 8M SF into the real estate management tool (OVSM & Manhattan). Performed Strategic Planning and test fits to help the client consolidate and reduce their real estate footprint and real estate costs.
Project Management: Over 10 years Project Management experience with interior office / tenant improvements. Most recently was a $7M build-out of the Austin Design Center for Motorola in Austin, Texas (shell space). Which included the Planning and Project Management of office build-out, and relocation efforts for three Motorola groups. Oversee the design process with the Architect and MEP Engineers and the development of the Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural drawings, including office space, lab, warehouse, shipping / receiving, network, phone system, furniture and extensive branding package. This project entailed working with Motorola corporate real estate, brokers, landlord, general contractor and tenant. This project was considered one of the most successful Motorola projects in recent years.
Move Management: Over 10 years Move Management experience with internal corporate moves and site consolidations. While on the Motorola account he was responsible for all the moves/adds/changes for 6 Texas sites. This included several moves with over 400 headcount. Responsibilities included creating the move from and to location plans, move data spreadsheet and coordination with the customer, move team consisting of the movers, furniture installers, IT, telecom and electrical vendors.
Facility Management: Over 2 years Facility Manager experience with includes the oversight of a 670,000 square foot engineering R&D office building with 80,000 square feet of lab space and consolidation into a 100,000 square foot facility with 70,00 square feet of office space and 30,000 Square feet of lab.
CAFM Real Estate Data Management: Over 20 years managing real estate facility data using CAFM tolls as AutoCAD, OVSM, Manhattan.
