Career objective

To get exposure to the contemporary thoughts and recent research in the field of Financial Economics in particular and social sciences in general and share my experiences and viewpoints with renowned scholars and researchers in the field enabling me to refine my own research and furthering the progress towards providing the society with practicable models that help cure our socio-economic ills holistically.

Profile

Salman Ahmed Shaikh is currently working as Research Associate & Faculty member at Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He is pursuing PhD in Economics. He did graduation with honor Cum Laude from Bahria University and MS from Szabist. He is a published author with a book, 14 published research papers (three more are forthcoming) along with more than 150 research articles published in more than two dozen different magazines. He recently authored Proposal for a New Economic Framework Based on Islamic Principles . He has taught courses in Finance at undergraduate and graduate level at various national universities in Pakistan. He had been a visiting faculty member at Szabist, PAF-KIET and Biztek. He has supervised 18 Masters Theses to date & is Referee to Journal of Islamic Banking & Finance. He appears on TV Channels & gives his analytical views on Economics & Finance. He has participated in road shows as speaker and has lectured in various international and national level conferences. He is also Project Director for an academic research project, Islamic Economics Project which was started in 2010.
