Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital Experience
Worked with human tissues; did all routine work in a pathology lab such as: tissue processing, embedding, cutting paraffin blocks and staining. I had the responsibilities of processing tissue in a VIP (vacuum infiltrate pressure) machine and also handling changing solution in that machine.
Embedding biopsies, lesions and big tissues, cutting 60-70 blocks daily and over 100 blocks occasionally, H and E staining, H- pylori and bone marrow was daily duty for me.
All computer works to enter surgical as well as outpatient`s specimen is the first step to start the processing. Handled all blocks/ slides filling in proper order. Kept all the Q-C record for inspection. Making different solution was also a routine work at the hospital.
Performed large amounts of pap stain for body fluids
Handled all administrative work when supervisor was on leave or vacation
