Operates on a budget of $114 M. Promote business growth and development offering incentives such as: An Enterprise Zone, -One Stop Shop- plan review process, state job tax credits, its own water reservoir (Sweet Water Creek) and power utility, two Tax Allocation Districts (TAD), and a Business and Industrial Development Authority (BIDA).

Council Member City of East Point (Former Mayor Pro Tempore) One of eight council members that participate in weekly meetings of the General City Council to establish policies and procedures; create general legislation; review finances; and approve contracts and expenditures. Institute general policies of conduct for employees and staff of the City of East Point, as well as create ordinances, legislations and laws for public safety. Review and analyze the city`s financial position on a weekly and monthly basis and give directives to the City Manager.
