PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

10/11 9/12 US Aluminum Castings, Entiat, WA

Sales Manager New Projects

Successfully introduced mass marketing via email to selected market sectors, took steps to insure that US Aluminum Castings maintained Top 5 search status among the popular internet search engines and effectively created a team environment among the production, quality control and sales departments. During my tenure at USAC I was instrumental in our relationship-building with 198 new companies which allowed us to deliver quotes on 378 new parts. As a result we were the successful bidder on several new projects that will result in over $2,000,000 in new revenue for the company, representing year over year growth of over 15%. During the course of the past year I organized and oversaw our participation/attendance at seven Aerospace and Department of Defense tradeshows which dramatically increased our company exposure to those critical markets. Finally, I presented the company with a White Paper outlining the steps required in order to double revenue over the next three years.

2008 - 2011 Ross Financial Advisors, Wenatchee, WA

Owner/Financial Advisor

Oversaw the successful process of transferring 80% of my client base from Edward Jones to my new independent investment advisory business. I continued to manage all client relationships, my staff as well as all ongoing operational requirements of a small business. My broker/dealer gained a significant presence in the Wenatchee Valley area as a result of my ability to grow an independent investment office from scratch to over 40 million dollars in assets under management in less than two years.

2002 2008 Edward Jones Investments, Wenatchee, WA

Investment Representative

Managed the growth of my client book of business from 7 million dollars to over 50 million dollars in less than seven years. I was given full responsibility to manage a staff of two and operate my office in a profitable manner. During a 4 year period I also served as the regional recruiting manager and was directly responsible for training/mentoring new investment advisors located in my office for a 12 to 24 month period. All of these responsibilities were executed with a high level of success. Specifically, upon moving to Edward Jones I assumed control of an office that had not been profitable during the previous 5 years and within the first year of operation we achieved profitability; we remained highly profitable during my tenure with the company.

1998-2002 Smith Barney, Wenatchee, WA

Financial Advisor

Passed all required financial industry exams (Series 7, 63, 65 and 66). I then proceeded to develop a large base of clients interested in taking advantage of my ability to grow, manage and preserve wealth. All aspects of personal financial management were handled including life insurance, long term care insurance and estate planning.

1987 1998 STACK Business Systems, Wenatchee, WA

Owner/Manger

Founded and operated a Xerox Sales Agency which at the time had exclusive contractual marketing rights for all of Central Washington. Responsible for all equipment sales activity plus the coordination of all service contracts for a wide range of customers including Federal Government (Grand Coulee Dam), State higher education (Central Washington University), local school districts (Wenatchee and East Wenatchee School Districts), public utility districts (Grant PUD and Chelan PUD), medical facilities (Wenatchee Valley Clinic), large private industry (Alcoa) and hundreds of mid to small sized regional private businesses. During my ownership tenure I also fulfilled a two year term on the ten member National Xerox Sales Agent Channel board of directors.

In managing this business I learned how to become a successful entrepreneur by taking advantage of growth opportunities that others may have deemed outside the box. As a result my business expanded from equipment and service contract sales to a copy/print center, supply sales and graphic design which resulted in an eventual staff of 5 employees. Our core revenue stream equipment and service contract sales grew from under $200,000 in my first full year of 1988 to over $3,000,000 in my last full year of 1997.

1982 1987 Xerox Canada, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

National Account Manager

Managed the office equipment strategies and placements for Chrysler Corporation across Canada as well as managing the regional office equipment needs for General Motors and Ford Motor Company. In addition I was responsible for the equipment needs at the University of Windsor, St. Clair College and Windsor School District plus major national corporations such as Hiram Walker Distillery and Navistar International.

EDUCATION

Colgate University, Hamilton, NY

B.A. Economics, 1981
