Contract System Administrator for the Open Systems group at Copart.com. Responsible for software and hardware support on a variety of Solaris 10, Linux and AIX platforms. Support responsibilities include installation and maintenance of hardware and software. Other tasks include setting up accounts, monitoring systems via Nagios and writing internal documentation for processes and procedures. Other duties included assisting with Knowledge Transfer for a transition to an outsource infrastructure support solution. This included working closely with members of the T-Systems Mexico team who took over first and second level support. Configuration management for most of the systems at Copart were managed from Puppet. Some experience writing health check modules for the Nagios monitoring system. AIX support was for DB2 database administrators. The Netbackup system is configured with duplicate VTLs in both the Reno and Las Vegas Data Centers with data duplication and replication across the state for redundancy.

System administrator for a variety of Solaris/Linux systems in support of email, Web CT and Oracle Data Warehouse and System Wide Account Management functions. Support responsibilities for the People Soft iNtegrate project running on AIX 6.1. These responsibilities included evaluating vendor products, setting up accounts, system tuning and installation of system wide software.
Administration and maintenance of email and system services for student email in the Nevada System of Higher EDUCATION (NSHE). This included a Sendmail based mail server, Horde based webmail interface, Spam Assassin, and Clam AntiVirus. These services were hosted on a SLES 9 IBM Power 5 systems and are currently on a RHEL 6 IBM Power 7 platform.
Participation in start for finish deployment of PeopleSoft based student registration system. Including system design and resource and lpar allocation.
Administration and maintenance of Solaris 9/10 based Oracle Data Warehouse for student information, financial and HR data. This includes implementation of Oracle ASM, Solaris zones, Solaris QFS files and Solaris ZFS file systems.
LDAP administrator. Designed and implemented LDAP for student email and web access systems on SLES 9 platform. Migrated LDAP to RHEL 6 in June of 2011. Responsible of initial install and design of LDAP for iNtegrate Project in AIX 6.1. The iNtegrate Project is the implementation of PeopleSoft based student registration system for NSHE.
Extensive experience with scripting for system automation and reporting task in Perl, and standard UNIX shells such as bash, ksh, sh.
Configurations and tuning of IBM Power based lpar, both AIX 6 and Linux based.
