Auburn Athletics: Media Relations Student Intern January 2010-
present
Primary responsibility was to schedule, film and edit video interviews for the Auburn athletic website. This was
the first collaborative effort to provide weekly video content for the website that included interviewing and
profiling coaches and athletes of 20 sanctioned Auburn sports, excluding football. Effort by the media relations
staff resulted in increased support for multimedia content on the website and the responsibilities were handed
over to the Auburn Sports Network.
Coordinated and wrote feature articles that have appeared in Tiger Roar, a quarterly all-
sports magazine
distributed to Tigers Unlimited donors. Responsibilities included assigning articles to media relations student
volunteers, interviewing athletes and writing articles
Coordinated and wrote articles for Auburn Football Illustrated, voted Best In Nation for football game day
publications by CoSIDA
Assisted with the production of the 2010 and 2011 Auburn Football media guide and Auburn Football Illustrated.
Responsibilities included coordinating with university organizations and obtaining and editing content, obtaining
and writing football support staff biographies and placing photos using Adobe InDesign.
Produced the 2011-
12 Auburn Women s golf media guide. Designed layout of inside pages, wrote and edited
copy. Layout was in Adobe InDesign
Secondary contact for women s tennis. Responsibilities include writing previews and recaps that are published
on the athletic website, composing match notes, reporting live match results, nominating SEC player and SEC
freshman of the week, updating stats, and assisting with the production of the women s tennis media guide
Assisted with media relations game day duties for football, baseball, softball, men s and women s basketball,
soccer and volleyball. Responsibilities included organizing player interviews, talking with the media, working the
score board for baseball, softball and soccer, reporting game scores, distributing stat books to media,
conducting pre-
game and post-
game interviews with players and coaches. Responsibilities for men s basketball
also included designing and updating flip card
