Acting as director of planning addressing priorities established by the Tribal Council including
health care, casino development, marina/campground development, transportation, infrastructure,
economic diversification and structure/methods to conduct development.
President, Bois Forte Development Corp. (dba Fortune Bay Casino), Tower, Minnesota
1992 1994
Reorganized, directed and managed this tribally owned casino under a short term employment
contract including planning and development of casino property to include a hotel and marina.
The property was transitioning from a simple casino/bingo hall into a destination resort with a
hotel, marina, golf course and other elements.

Management consulting firm in the areas of turnarounds, reorganizations, transition management
and creditor interests. Clients included governments, enterprises and international trade. Worked
in both international trade and tribal gaming.

Activities included the certification of and management of two 8(a) manufacturing companies,
chief planner/development specialist for the downtown Duluth based casino (the first tribal
casino to do so), secured $4.5 million in financing and $10.5 in government contracts and
provided guidance and supervision to two casinos.

Senior management official in charge of the reorganization of this high tech airborne and
ground based defense electronics manufacturer. Provided direction and leadership while
company was transitioning to a primarily manufacturing operation.

Provided overall management & supervision to General Managers of two casinos, a
construction company and two manufacturing companies.
