PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Montgomery Blair High School, Churchill High School, Julius West Middle School

Assistant Principal, Served as an administrators with (3) of the top schools (Middle and High School) in Montgomery County Public Schools. The schools had differing student bodies of 3300 and 2100 and 800 respectively and staffs of 325 and 165 and 83. There are high test scores and standards as well as academic rigor at all schools. There were special programs (including academies) at all institutions that focused on student personal development, academic support (Magnet Programs and Special Needs Programs) as well as parental involvement. Specific duties and responsibilities included: general administration, supervision and evaluation of the following departments - Mathematics, Foreign Language, Fine Arts, Communications Arts Program (CAP), Attendance, discipline for students at all grade levels, master schedule and master calendar development, schedule chaperone duties, IEP/EMT program referrals, budget development and coordination, student activity calendar and organization of sales activity, crisis planning and evacuation, back-up testing coordination, summer school administration as well as other assigned duties at all schools.

Principal, Wilbur Wright Middle School, Dayton, Ohio

1997 - 2000

Duties: Instructional and Institutional leader for a middle school (grades 7 and 8) of 750 students and staff of 75. School operated utilizing block scheduling and 6 clusters. Specific emphasis and focus was on academic and physical rebuilding the school.

1995 - 1997

Duties: Assisted with the administration of a High School for the Arts with a faculty and staff of 97 and student body of 1200. Academic program focused on all areas of the arts and academics as well as general student development.

1992 - 1994

Duties: Served as Principal of the George Washington Carver High School, the largest high school in the city.
