PURE group, Bangladesh
Member of the PURE group in Bangladesh. The PURE study is a paired cohort study of urban and rural populations with the aim of evaluating traditional and novel risk factors involved in the genesis of coronary heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. The study is in collaboration with the Population Health Research Institute, McMaster University, Canada.

Worked in Prof. John R. Shapley’s lab on organometallic chemistry. Synthesized and characterized air and moisture sensitive complexes using both dry box and Schlenck techniques. Characterization methods included NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and mass spectroscopy.
