Whirlpool Corporation Ft. Smith AR Division

Manufactured trash compactors and side by side refrigerators, previously manufactured top mount, bottom mount and counter depth refrigeration, ice makers and freezers with a high volume of 2.1M refrigeration units in a 3 shift operation with a maximum of 5000 employees. Division was closed in June 2012.

October 2010 - June 2012

Materials Expediter

* Responsibility for acquiring parts for a fast paced high volume manufacturing facility.

* Responsible for acquiring 70% of plant manufacturing parts to point of use.

* Work closely with manufacturing, local and out of town vendors to acquire and get parts to point of use in a timely manner using Lean and JIT principles.

* Keep current and accurate Bill of Material and model counts and accurate material counts.

* Scheduling local JIT trailers and local warehouse parts.

* Worked with Supervisors, Engineers, vendors, and operators with quality issues.

* Worked with Penske logistics on routing of in-bound trailers.

Set Up Technician Automated Cabinet/Deck Lines

* Qualified to run and set up Weldmation and Teledyne Automated Deck and RWC Automated Cabinet for all top mount, bottom mount, side by side and counter depth models.

* Competent in Allen Bradley panel view set up and trouble shooting

* Basic Duties: Perform a variety of set up and change over functions including scheduling of product runs and change over and scheduling and set up of raw materials. Worked closely with tooling, maintenance and electrical personal in performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, break down and continual improvement of equipment. First part inspection buy out and hourly performance of quality checks and OEE data.

* Worked closely with assigned Engineers to monitor and develop plans to improve process on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.

* Supervised outside contractors in accurately competing in a timely manner and run testing of retooling and programming of equipment.

* Responsible for developing, implementation and actual systematic training of new Technicians with a normal 3 year training plan to become proficient in all processes.

1992-1998

Labor Management Process Senior Facilitator and Consultant

* One of the original Facilitators selected by a joint Labor Management team.

* Direct report to the HR Manger and Union Vice President.

* Worked closely with the CHRS LMC consulting firm.

* Responsible for all 2nd. And 3rd. shift LMC teams approximately 3500 people.

* Basic Duties: LMC Process consultant and facilitator for all assigned business units, action, and Ad-Hoc teams. Advance training and experience in organization, problem solving techniques, group sociology, agenda building, planning, controlling, and intervention techniques. Responsible for developing, presentation and training LMC process training at all levels of the organization.

* Monitoring the process and recommend necessary training and interventions to assure maximum development and performance of teams and individuals.

* Team member for review and promotion of Engineering Technical Coordinators, Lead Supervisors, Business Unit Mangers, and Division Vice President.

* Basic Duties Relieving and training operators, setting up work stations, tools, equipment and assisting stocking and checking parts as needed.
