Jr Pipe Designer - Heavily involved in the INTEL expansion project. Responsible for designing new process piping in the facility and equipment layouts using MEP 2013, addressing RFI'S and DCN's, running clash detection in Navisworks for piping systems, as well as checking copy exact designs and making corrections as needed. Modeling 3D MV parts for equipment in the field upon request, checking and adjusting equipment layouts in design as needed. Also responsible for updating/creating piping plans, piping support plans, details, and P&ID'S as needed.
June 2011- June 2012
Levingston Engineers/Group, Sulphur, LA
Jr Pipe Designer - Create field notes, and generate "as-built" designs for projects. Assist Sr. Designers with generating Piping isos and BOM's from plan and elevation drawings for new builds. Heavily Involved in effort for PPG, with walking down, updating, and/or creating P&ID's for various units through the facility, ensuring that the P&ID's are current and properly represent what is in the field.

April 2008-June 2011
Tyco Thermal Controls (Tracer Construction), Houston, TX
EHT (Electrical Heat Trace) Project Designer -Design of electrical heat tracing circuits for industrial
process facilities, pipelines and generating facilities. Lead design efforts as a member of project teams
with up to 30 people on projects with budgets of up to $20 million. Duties involved reviewing customer
supplied documents, including piping line list, P&ID's, equipment drawings, steel layouts, instrument
location plans, pipe support and instrument support details, to assemble design packages. Many
designs had to be arranged in a modular fashion to allow installation in manufacturing facilities around
the globe with final connection completed at the plant site. The design packages were used to create
circuits; design specific line lists, instrument schedules and material take offs. The individual circuits
were sketched using piping isometrics and then distributed to CAD operators. Design drawings were
reviewed, checked and approved to ensure all customer specifications were met. NavisWorks was
used extensively to obtain information for many of the heat trace circuits and instrument lines.
Researched and designed heat traced circuits and created detailed schedules for over 1,000
instruments. All electrical heat trace designs (EHT designs) were completed in Tracer Lynx, proprietary
design software developed by Tyco Thermal Controls -Tracer.
September 2007 - April 2008
Recon Engineering (Firestone Polymers), Lake Charles, LA
MOC Drafting Coordinator-Created preliminary P&ID's upon engineers Request. Assisted engineers
with locating existing lines and instruments or lines and instruments associated with new projects. 3D
model drawings, architectural drawings, and small mechanical designs for presentations or proposals
were used to identify the equipment in question. Created, redlined and updated plant P&ID's and
PFD's. Verified and updated MOC projects.
December 2006 - September 2007
Recon Engineering (Firestone Polymers), Lake Charles, LA
Pipe Designer/ Field sketcher -Generated isometric sketches for the On-stream Inspection Department. Generated isometric drawings for designers from field notes. Assisted designers in "as-built" field notes and surveys, and verifying project completion. Assisted project engineers on the civil and mechanical portions of projects.
