Rockford, Illinois MSA
The Rockford MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) includes Boone,
Ogle, and Winnebago counties of northern Illinois. Rockford is 65
miles northwest of Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and 90
miles east of the Mississippi River. Its location allows for easy
access to regional, national and international markets.
The Rockford Area Council of 100 is a nonprofit economic develop-
ment organization whose mission is to develop and serve a globally
competitive region by enhancing the business climate and support-
ing primary employment investment decisions in the Rock River
Valley region of Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties
in northern Illinois, and Rock County in southern Wisconsin.
