As Principal Systems Engineering Manager for SAICs 400+person Airborne Systems Integration Operation, oversaw
engineering activities within the Operations three Divisions, managed the Operations IR&D projects, managed two large
IDIQ contracts, and performed business development and marketing for the Operation.
Oversight of Engineering Activities and Resources Worked with Division Managers, Engineering Managers, and
project managers to advance engineering quality/consistency/efficiency and improve utilization of engineers across the
Operation, with enhanced Quick Reaction Capability and reduced project rampup time. Developed a Matrixed
Engineering Division plan to transition the stovepiped engineering structure into a matrixed organization with engineers

Management of IR&D Efforts Oversaw multiple largescale IR&D projects across the Operation. Worked with
technical leads to develop and meet technical roadmaps, and to ensure efforts proceeded within budget and on
schedule. Worked with Operations management to ensure IR&D projects were complementary and aligned
with strategic business goals. IR&D projects involved sensor processing and data management, engineering
analysis, design modification and integration, and hardware engineering and fabrication, for applications
including airborne sensors, retractable sensor gimbals, high performance communication antennas, and a
