This is a statewide network aimed at supporting community development efforts

that build healthy communities in towns and cities across the Commonwealth.

HCM projects include an HCM newsletter, work on the Attorney General s

Guidelines for Community Benefits for Hospitals and HMOs, and development of

the HCM Institute, training community teams in the principles of community

development. HCM is funded by: The Boston Foundation, the Department of

Public Health, WellChild Foundation, the Toxics Use Reduction Institute, the

Department of Health and Human Services, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
