Responsible for management of the accounting department for $10 million ground Transportation Company in Montgomery County, MD. Blue Star Group does business as Barwood Taxi and other subsidiaries. Major customers: Montgomery County Medicaid and Call 'n Ride Coupon Program; WMATA Metro Access; and National Institutes of Health

Current responsibilities and highlights include:

* Timely, accurate bi-weekly invoicing of 500+ active customer accounts

* Prepare and submit proposals for US Government Contracts, insuring compliance with FAR.

* Preparation of financial statements for month and year end close and work with outside accounting firm to insure accurate financials and maintain GL integrity.

* Initiate and follow through with collections for past due accounts.

* Manage the integration of three software packages, including MS Solomon, to accurately invoice Blue Star Group's customers, and maintain GL integrity

* Monitor both A/P and payroll for accuracy

* Manage a staff of 6; 4 A/R clerks, 1 A/P clerk, and 1 payroll clerk.
