Accomplishments

For the past 7 years I have been in the construction industry. I first started working for Trump's Electrical Service in Purcellville, VA in 2005. I quickly caught on by showing up to work on time and working every Saturday for the first year or so. I started off as a helper and for the next 3 years I worked very steadily. When I work I try my best to go above and beyond for the home owners and to push myself to do better. After that 3 years I was put into a work truck and was off doing my own jobs. About a year and a half later I was laid off due to the economy and the hardships that come along with that. Shortly after being laid off I found a job working for Purcellville electric, another small electric company in town. I worked there for a year and was soon offered my old job back temporarily at Trumps electrical to assist with the re-wiring of 2 Outback Steakhouses. Once completed with the 2 restaurants I was again laid off. Shortly after, January of 2011, I was offered a job by my stepfather. Going from electrical to carpentry was a huge eye opener for me. Since I had the electrical experience on my shoulders, it really helped out with carpentry. I'm able to assist and predict what kind of different situations I would run into with framing and helping out the electrician, which hardly ever happens. Not only does having the electrical experience help out but I also have experience in a lot of other trades such as minor plumbing, standing seem roofing, installing hardwood flooring, trim work, setting pre-hung doors, window installation, decking, and gutter work.

Building new homes, tearing down old ones, tearing down an old home and rebuilding a new home on the existing foundation. We do almost everything here at Greenwood homes, from framing walls, installing windows and doors, laying hardwood flooring. We also specialize in metal standing seem roofs and half round gutters/downspout installs. I'm still a novice carpenter compared to the guy who teaches me every day but i try my best and learn something new every day which is the best part.
