Professional Accomplishments

SKILL - PLAN

Circumstance: Challenged with how to make the golf pro shop more appealing

to its members in order to maximize revenue. The shop had outdated

merchandise. Members would come in just to pay for tee times and walk out

the door without making additional purchases.

Action: The decision was made to remove all of the dated merchandise and

replace with current and updated fashions and products. We attended the

Atlanta Mart and purchased updated golf clothing, for men and women. Had

the country club logo put on shirts, reorganized all of the product

displays, arranged fashion shows featuring the new products and had the pro

shop staff and crew promote the "brand" by wearing the product.

Result: Turned the P&L for the pro shop from operating at a loss to

operating at a profit.

SKILL- PROBLEM SOLVE

Circumstance: In Northwest Ohio, 13 counties, needed local clinics to

treat children with disabilities as the nearest clinic to some was a

minimum two hours away from their homes.

Action: In conjunction with local pediatricians, we presented to the state

a grant request that we co-authored.

Result: The grant was approved and as a result each of the 13 counties

received their own clinic to facilitate care to families with children of

disabilities.

SKILL-IMPLEMENT

Circumstance: Needed to establish and integrate new operating procedures to

implement in a department that was losing money monthly.

Action: I restructured the way that payoffs were calculated for existing

mortgages. This is the area where 80% of all losses were occurring. We

implemented a plan to have our internal title company and payoff

departments calculate the payoffs.

Result: As a result of these actions, losses were reduced to 0%. This

procedure was then implemented throughout the organization and losses were

cut to a minimum.

SKILL - IMPLEMENT

Circumstance: I was in charge of establishing the New Escrow Department

for a title company. In addition, I needed to come up with a strategic

business plan to generate revenue.

Action: After meeting with key internal and external players, a strategic

plan was developed that benefited not only external clients, but

incentivized the key players to bring the business to the title company.

Result: As a result of successful implementation of this plan, within

three months the department was generating monthly fee income of $64K.
