October 1978 Outreach Teacher/Developmental Therapist

Served as on Outreach Teacher and Developmental Therapist in a
community based program with children with Special Needs; from
developmental delays to severe autism and Down's Syndrome. The children
ranged in age from 6 weeks to 3 years old. Worked with Service
Coordinators and parents to implement IFSP's based on each individual
child's needs.
Worked with families on providing strategies to help increase likelihood of child meeting and

surpassing goals.
Conducted workshops and trainings to help teachers in day care settings to work with children
•
who have disabilities.
Did developmental assessments and screenings with day care providers to assess children needs

and to monitor developmental delays
Entered data into state-wide database on childrens progress on IFSP goals.

Attended trainings and seminars to enhance my education on providing strategies for

recognizing developmental milestones and helping families to work with the needs of their

Attend Transition, IEP's and Assessment Meetings with families of children entering Nashville

Metro Early Preschool Programs.
