in the Drivetrain Systems Business Unit on advanced diesel electric
propulsion systems with an assignment as Validation Engineering Manager for
Global Tracked Vehicle Propulsion Systems. Responsibilities included
improving design and development business processes and managing
development for "new invention" electric drivetrains for tracked type
vehicles.

Group manager for systems validation of new invention Hybrid drive
transmission and power electronics for global rear wheel vehicles. Nine
direct reports in department with spending and personal management to
develop commercial use GM Hybrid vehicles.
. Finished the design and implementation of the 2nd generation
Transmission and Power Electronics. Completed first software run in
Dyne cells and made first installation in a vehicle light truck
chassis for development. Achieved complex design and implementation
goals ahead of schedule and within budget.
. Completed validation for commercial and retail sales of 1st generation
Hybrid Transmission and Power Electronics. Designed new validation
schedule to 100,000 miles to confirm new invention reliability which
was a first for GM.

Vehicle System Engineer Project Lead / Assistant Chief Engineer

Responsible for integration of New Powertain Systems into vehicle system.
Responsible for power electronics and electric transmission integration
as a system designed by GM Powertrain. Integration was with six vehicle
platform systems and three powertrain systems.
. Completed design and integration of Honda V6 and five speed
transmissions with transfer case into 2002 Saturn VUE. Worked
extensively with Honda Motor Company to integrate powertrain into
Saturn VUE product chassis. Successful integration with vehicle
launch on time and demonstrated high communication stream with an
outside auto manufacturer.
. Saturn "L" series special All Wheel Drive project for Wagon chassis.
Needed to fully integrate existing components and systems with a
European designed chassis to allow manufacturing in a U. S. assembly
